08.13.17: Love your neighbor

The tropes from the 7:30 and 9 a.m. Masses at St. Mary's in Crown Point. With hatred and violence infecting our country, we pause to pray for peace and an end to racism, xenophobia, homophobia and bigotry. These tropes come from the old Eucharistic Prayer for Masses of Reconciliation, Number Two, in the Sacramentary.

Lord Jesus, in the midst of conflict and division, help us to know it is you who turns our minds to thought of peace. Lord, have mercy.

Christ Jesus, you gather people of every race, language and way of life to share in the one eternal banquet. Christ, have mercy.

Lord Jesus, make us, your Church, a sign of unity and an instrument of your peace. Lord, have mercy.
